Dil Maya Khait is a TOIT Founding Board Member and a life long resident of Bhaktapur.

Kamal Keshawari Dachhepati is a TOIT Founding Board Member, a local merchant and a life long resident of Bhaktapur. She visits families to be sure they qualify for our program.

Kamal Shova Maka is a TOIT Founding Board Member. She does family visits to be sure they qualify for our program.

Kamal Laxmi Gorkhali is a TOIT Founding Board Member. She is serving as a school caseworker for the sponsored children. She was born in Bhaktapur.


Management Committee

Indra Prasad Khaitu- Founder & President

Manages the day to day operations of TOIT. He is a graduate of "Campion College" in Kathmandu where he studied Sociology and English literature.

Ganesh Prasad Dachhepati- Secretary and a founding TOIT Board Member.

He is an artist who assists with parental interviews and is a volunteer art teacher at the school.

Sailesh Amatya- Treasurer

Manages the accounting, banking and finance for TOIT since 2002. He is employed as a Junior Engineer (Overseer) for the "Bhaktapur Municipality" and is studying Management in Bhaktapur at "Bhaktapur Multiple Campus".

Urmila Gainju-Assistant Treasurer

Is the past Treasurer, a Founding Board Member and is also on the TOIT Scholarship Committee. She is a primary grade teacher in "Zenith English School", Bhaktapur and takes Management and Accounting courses at "Bhaktapur Multiple College".


Advisors
B. S. Khadka is a highly regarded English Teacher in Bhaktapur. After a long career in public service, he began teaching 18 years ago and has provided invaluable advice to TOIT.

Geneviève DHAINNE has been a schoolteacher in Lille, France for 35 years. She visits Nepal once a year.  Her suggestions and ideas about the way of working with children have helped immensely.

Eva Dieterman is a Dutch woman whose comments were the genesis of TOIT. She still provides guidance to Indra.  She is active in the Vipassana Centre in the Netherlands.

Francis Longavesne is the founder of several important French aid organizations including LMDH (see below), the France-Tibet Association, and the France-Nepal Association.  He works with the Dalai LAMA, Dharamsala in India to support Tibetan refugees.  As mentioned before, he is a mentor and close advisor to Indra.

'La Maison Des Himalayas' (LMDH), one of the largest French humanitarian organizations. It has been coordinating with us in the school scholarship program since 2003. It has shown a long-term commitment to eradicate the illiteracy of Nepal. They provide scholarships for 60 children who are regularly attending their classes. In addition, they have sponsored the construction of one of our classrooms. You can read more about their work here.


The "American Nepali-Student and Women's Educational Relief (ANSWER) has been working with TOIT since 2003, to help children in Nepal get a high quality education. There are 17 children in Bhaktapur being sponsored through the organization. ANSWER has been helping 450 Nepali children at different academic institutions through out the country. They were kind enough to award TOIT a Certificate of Appreciation which you can see here. You can read more about the organization here.



Sathi OM- While traveling in 2001, a group of four friends began to formulate ideas on how they can do their part to improve the world.  As part of their efforts, they sponsor four children and they have held fundraisers which have helped support the project as a whole. UNICEF Nepal-Bhaktapur Craft Printers, a UNICEF project in Nepal, was a major contributor that had enabled us to widen our activities.  Unfortunately, the project ended due to a fire at the factory that generated the income to support the project.

TOIT France is an NGO that was organized to support the work of our organization in Nepal.  We sincerely appreciate the efforts of the group of volunteers that manages the day to day operations of this organization.  You can read more about their work here.

Partnerships


World Education- is an internationally respected NGO that works around the world on environmental education, community development, maternal and child health, school governance, integrated literacy, small enterprise development, HIV/AIDS education and prevention and care, and refugee training.  In 2007 they assisted our school with training programs and materials for which we are very grateful.  You can read more about them here.

Room to ReadRoom to Read is an international NGO founded by a former executive of Microsoft.  The organization focuses on building up the capacity of various countries but helping them develop their education system.  In Nepal, they have built hundreds of schools and provided many others with various types of support.  They have generously provided the books for a library and will be providing training to help support the library.  You can read more about them here.
