La Maison Des Himalayas (LMDH)
One of the largest French humanitarian organizations. It has been coordinating with us in the school scholarship program since 2003. It has shown a long-term commitment to eradicate the illiteracy of Nepal. They provide scholarships for 60 children who are regularly attending their classes. In addition, they have sponsored the construction of one of our classrooms. You can read more about their work here.
Room to Read
Room to Read is an international NGO founded by a former executive of Microsoft. The organization focuses on building up the capacity of various countries but helping them develop their education system. In Nepal, they have built hundreds of schools and provided many others with various types of support. They have generously provided the books for a library and will be providing training to help support the library. You can read more about them here.
Sathi OM
While traveling in 2001, a group of four friends began to formulate ideas on how they can do their part to improve the world. As part of their efforts, they sponsor four children and they have held fundraisers which have helped support the project as a whole. You can read more about their project here.
World Education
Internationally respected NGO that works around the world on environmental education, community development, maternal and child health, school governance, integrated literacy, small enterprise development, HIV/AIDS education and prevention and care, and refugee training. UNICEF Nepal-Bhaktapur Craft Printers, a UNICEF project in Nepal, was a major contributor that had enabled us to widen our activities. Unfortunately, the project ended due to a fire at the factory that generated the income to support the project.
